Teaching and Technology provides proactive support for the University of Florida’s mission by coordinating resources for developing and administering distance learning courses and programs. Self-funded Academic Support Services is responsible for managing institutional collaborations and memberships in the following organizations:
- The Online Learning Consortium Quality Scorecard for Administration of Online Programs.
- The United States Distance Learning Association, which utilizes quality standards designed to inform and protect the growing number of educational consumers enrolled in distance learning programs.
- Quality Matters is a non-profit organization dedicated to quality assurance in Online Education.
Self-funded Program Support Services serves as host for the Online Program Support group which is composed of faculty and staff responsible for administering online distance learning programs.
Distance Learning Fees
SPSS is responsible for assisting academic units with seeking approval for and administration of Distance Learning Fees associated with online courses.
